The Hackensack PBA is made up of 72 non-ranking police officers who are committed to preventing crime, protecting life and property, enforcing laws and ordinances, and safeguarding constitutional rights and guarantees. Since our establishment in 1940, we have maintained the highest standards of performance, professional conduct, and ethics. We believe that building community partnerships and earning public trust are essential to fulfilling our mission.

In addition to our law enforcement responsibilities, the PBA also represents police officers in matters related to contract negotiations, grievances, work conditions, and officer safety. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that our members are fairly compensated and equipped with the necessary training, equipment, and support to serve the public effectively.
